First of all I admire your dedication and passion in improving this wiki. We have to bear in mind that this is still a tiny wiki with less than 1400 article compared to the millions other western languages has and the hundreds of thousands in arwiki and hewiki. We should first concentrate on creating articles rather than creating templates and other non-essentials. I do however like your design although I have some reservations regarding the use of neo-Aramaic instead of Classical Syriac here and there.
